If you become fixated on the love of a person, it would be idolatry. You should love with the love of God. Even the songs are about separation. Why don’t you love as the manifestation of God? Where is the verse in the Qur'an that deems music unlawful? Where is the verse in the Qur'an that deems paintings unlawful? What gave you that idea? There is no such ban in the Qur'an. Consequently, by doing so, you have created a hell for yourself. You have made lawful things unlawful and you hope that you will be given a beautiful reward in the Hereafter. God is the One Who creates all these. I mean there is nothing that belongs to the person across from you.
