One should not detach his connection with God for reasons such as tiredness or even at moment of death. We should remember God ceaselessly. When we feel that we are falling into idolatry, we should supplicate to God and take refuge in Him. Our detachment from God would not be pleasing to God. God grants us all the blessings. We will show our love for God by remembering Him all the time. God wants persistent remembrance of Him.
