In Surat al-Qasas verse 5, God tells that He will show kindness to the oppressed and make them leaders and inheritors. In verse 6, God says that Islam will prevail over the world and the shadow states that are the contemporary Pharaohs will be defeated: "We desired to show kindness to those who were oppressed in the land and to make them leaders and make them inheritors." If the Qur'an talks about the unity of Islam- and it does- that unity is the system of Mahdi. Does the Qur'an say that Muslims will unite and Islam will prevail in the whole world? It does.
