Muslims are protected by God from all sorts of devious plots. They are protected at all times.

They will cause them [Muslims] pain, they will slander [them], they will play games, they will cause troubles, they will make up stories about them. God says "Do not mind their torments" ; what does “Do not mind" mean? It is a religious obligation. It is a religious obligation not to be affected by those things; if one does mind them, that means he is doing something religiously unlawful. It is a religious obligation not to mind, not to value, not to take seriously the games these impertinent people play.
