Strive Against Earthly Desires
God says that, "This world is not the place for play and idle sport. The Heaven is the place for play and idle sport. This world is a place for trial." That is why if you fasten yourself to this world, you would be stuck with it, says God. But if you aim for the Hereafter, if you aim My approval, I will make you happy for all eternity, you will have fun and laugh. Those who fasten themselves to this world would merely grovel, let me say that much. They would merely wallow and flounder. Nothing else would ever happen. Quote

Some people never accept patience and ordeals, yet ask directly for blessings. That is unacceptable. You can neither attain Heaven like that nor attain the good pleasure of God. God gives you a three dimensional image and you view it inside your brain; He gives you the ability to smell beautiful scents so that you smell them; He gives you the ability of tasting so that you find pleasure in those tastes; He gives you the sense of touch so that you touch, you swim in the sea, you go boating, you enjoy the world to the utmost; but when it comes to the Creator, you say, "I do not want to be the object of this." God would then plague you. This world is not a place of entertainment. Quote

However, the world would become beautiful with self-sacrificing people. For instance, our Prophet (saas) was very altruistic and selfless. His companions were very altruistic and selfless. Family, getting married, having children are all matters that the hypocrites prefer to religion. That is why they remain irresolute between religion and their idols. Hypocrites idolize their families; they idolize their children. They regard them as leverage against Islam. Quote
