Satan would want to blow down a successful Muslim. If that Muslim is doing something beneficial, satan would want to render it ineffective. For instance, he is writing a book, satan would want to stop it. He is preaching religion but satan would want him to stop. He is talking about something good and satan would want him to stop.

Satan obtains results rapidly in unbelievers. I mean he gets very fast results one after the other. He can escalate anger to the highest levels instantly so much so that one person goes and shoots another. He makes them persecute others instantly or be disloyal in a moment.

A Muslim, a devout person might have difficulties in understanding satan but the disbeliever thoroughly knows the satan. A Muslim wouldn't have such cooperation, such a connection with satan. That is because Muslim wins every time, and thus he takes no account of satan. For instance, he behaves patiently whenever there is something to be patient about, he never stoops to egoism on occasions one might behave egotistically.

Muslims are at ease, they are at ease everywhere because they submit themselves to God and put their trust in God; they will be very much at ease when they are resurrected in the Hereafter. For instance, Muslims watch the Last Day in joy.

It is a miracle that the faces of sordid people are black as night. A contempt and sordidness can instantly be observed on the faces of such sordid people. And there is a lamb-like immaculateness on the faces of Muslims. They are immaculately clean and pure.

Snobbery, impertinence, sauciness are beneath Muslims. Rationalism, being beautiful and mild, an honest mind, a sharp wit, a proper mindset, one that is far removed from artificiality befits Muslims.

A Muslim should enhance his love infinitely, his compassion, his beneficence infinitely. He should be trustworthy. He should not spy on Muslims. He should not play games and stab them in the back; he should not persecute them.

The Qur'an defines these acts as cruelty; all kinds of attitudes that would disturb Muslims, that would sadden them, that would tire them or that would intimidate them or spy on Muslims. Cruelty means devising plots against Muslims, setting traps against Muslims. Performing prayers would not save such a person; he should avoid all kinds of cruelty.

A Muslim cannot act abnormally. According to the Qur'an, Muslims "have faith and do not mix up their faith with any wrongdoing." I mean, they do not attempt to do any wrongdoing and they never act on cruelty.

Radicals see Islam as unsavory in their own minds. Actually joy and happiness is Islam; Islam is a beauty. But these people consider joy and happiness as unsavory. That makes it a sort of the spirit of unbelievers.

The People of Hell are specifically created. I mean they are special beings that are bereft of guidance. They are created with the character of disbelievers.

What we are talking about is an understanding of Islam that would save the world. There is love, there is brotherhood; there is goodness, beauty, arts and aesthetics in Islam. Women are held in high esteem, women are free, children are free and liberated, young people are free and liberated; there is joy and happiness everywhere in Islam.

Unbelievers and hypocrites struggle against Muslims. They will cause them [Muslims] pain, they will slander [them], they will play games, they will cause troubles, they will make up stories about them. God says "Do not mind their torments" ; what does “Do not mind" mean? It is a religious obligation. It is a religious obligation not to be affected by those things; if one does mind them, that means he is doing something religiously unlawful. It is a religious obligation not to mind, not to value, not to take seriously the games these impertinent people play.

The PKK became rabid on one hand, the hypocrites became rabid on the other and the unbelievers became rabid. They are attempting to do all sorts of vileness. Muslims should behave very temperate and very reasonable. They should be aware of the fact that God is the Creator of all movements. They should see the good in everything and act patiently and reasonably according to the Qur’an and respond accordingly.

When an unbeliever looks at a Muslim, God creates a shade before his eyes. They become unable to see the beauty there. They keep saying, “These ones are unable to live their lives to the fullest.”

When you talk about something beautiful, they [unbelievers] become jealous. That is why such things are not told to sick people. It is only said to those sincere, righteous Muslims. They would feel relieved with such news but you should not speak of such good news to those jealous, dangerous people with the characteristics of hypocrites. Refraining from saying such things to such people would be an act of worship. You should hold your tongue, be silent and talk about other things.

Those who are after their own pleasure want to be on both sides, they want to go be with Muslims and with the others as well. They want to have fun both here and there but when they face the slightest difficulty, when something conflicts with their interests, they flee instantly. Again when things seem to be at his sweet will, he sniffs and looks around. He approaches things if he sees no problem. He imagines that he can really attain some results from such a behavior. However if he acts this treacherously, knowingly and intentionally, his reward would be ever heavier. He won't be saved by that occasional coming and going.

Almighty God only looks if he is a Muslim or not. I mean there is no such thing as a semi-hypocrite or a semi-Muslim. God says "Everything you do would go to your idols.” For instance, he behaves 5% for God and 95% for his idols. Everything he does would then go his idols. Or on the contrary, he behaves 95% for God and 5% for idols; that would go completely to idols as well. God says, "You should do everything you do only for Me."

Hypocrites always assume that power is outside the circle of Muslims. Yet if they could even see a part of their strength, they would start admiring them. That is why our Prophet (saas) always showed strength to them and then the hypocrites came to heel. That is the characteristic of Muslims.

Hypocrites assume that remaining aloof from Muslims is a wise move. And because they always are determined to keep away from them, they live in that spirit, constantly standing up to Muslims, constantly rebuffing and acting obstinately towards Muslims. They never bend towards Muslims.

Hypocrites pine for gaining power and honor in disbelief. But when they go join them, their profanity burns them out and devastates them. They dive into that profanity as they burn and they burn even further as they dive deeper into profanity. That constitutes a system that constantly competes with itself and it swallows them and devastates them until they end up in the middle of hell.

Hypocrites are the dirt among a Muslim community. Just like Muslims get rid of the dirt on them when they bathe and become immaculately clean after that bath, they wash themselves with soap and get rid of that dirt and become squeaky-clean and healthy. And you say, “Why doesn't that dirt stick?" Muslims are clean, they do not live with dirt. They wash off the dirt and get rid of it, hypocrites are thus washed off and what remains behind are radiant Muslims.

The lack of a system that is based on faith and love creates a dreadful system. And that rules in this world as an inexplicable trouble.

Bektashism is not known extensively in Turkey. Alevism is not known extensively. These are immaculately perfect perspectives. They are fabulous teachers of love. They are teachers of friendship and brotherhood. One cannot have enough of their discourses, their beautiful conversation. Their gatherings are nice, their addressing is nice. These people know the secret of maturity, humanity, profundity and , immaculate people.

No one would ever let Turkey be divided. No one would ever release Abdullah Öcalan. No Turkish policeman would ever let that happen. Our police officers are all nationalists. They all are very keen on our homeland, our people, our flag; they all risk death for God, for our homeland, for our flag.
