What God is interested in particular is the love felt for Him. One should be madly in love with God. God approves the love one feels with his faith in the Unseen, without losing the free will of his mind.

The more hardships suffered, the more the good deeds acquired would be. The difficulties Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) encounters are countless. Every single hardship encountered is a step ahead. For instance, think about a 1,000 kilometer-long ladder, 1,000 kilometers of ascending steps; one climbs up incessantly and the spiritual ranks he attains elevate incessantly.

For perfect love, there should be perfect morality. For perfect morality, there should be perfect fear of God. All of them are related with love and aim love.

Ours is the world of trial. The important thing is to make Islam prevail in the world. The rest is not at all important. Once Islam prevails in the world, everyone would be at ease, everything you have would be under guarantee. If Islam does not prevail in the world, it would turn into a living hell.

Almighty God says, “I want to see your love for Me.” God wants to have people who He loves and He wants there to be those who love Him. God has everything. He is Omnipotent and He wants to have people who love Him.

God creates angels, but they are made to love Him. God commands man to love Him without seeing Him. "There will be unbelievers, there will be hypocrites, there will be irreligious people. You will suffer, you will patiently endure difficulties and you will love Me with a profound love. Then I will love you very much," God says. God loves the angels, but they are incomparable with man.

The love of God brings relief to people. If the love of God is explained in a country day in and day out, there will be abundance and plenty in that country and their lives would be like Heaven. Otherwise they would all be distressed.

God tells us that there will be ordeals and pain in the world. Submit yourself to God as you should and see if you would suffer. God knows pain but He doesn't experience pain. People will know pain but they would not experience that pain if they submit themselves completely to God. One needs to find that secret, that secret of complete submission.

People keep asking why do troubles find them? If you feel thankful, troubles would not follow you. But if you fail to do that, you would be deserving of those troubles. Muslims are of course tried, but would not be plagued.

Love of God, closeness to God drives away scourges. Living by Islam meticulously, heeding the lawful and unlawful acts defined in the Qur'an is what drives away scourges.

Almighty God gives blessings in abundance but the lack of thanking Him for those blessings is really irritating. You are invited to a palace, there are amazing foods, desserts, yet you simply eat them and leave yelling and kicking the door with your foot on your way out. Neither a thank you, nor any admiration; that would of course draw scourges upon you.

Some Muslims say, "I am a good person, I would not be troubled with difficulties." Actually, that would be very weird. If you are seriously favored in a testing environment, it would annul the free will of mind. It would even take the free will of your mind. You are being tested as well. That is why prophets have diseases as well.

Troubles and afflictions only sharpen and strengthen people. This is the way God disciplines. Or else a great portion of people would remain heedless.

Some people never accept patience and ordeals, yet ask directly for blessings. That is unacceptable. You can neither attain Heaven like that nor attain the good pleasure of God. This is a place of trial not a place of fun. Almighty God says, "If We had desired to have some amusement, We would have derived it from Our Presence, but We did not do that." Heaven is the place of amusement, there is no such thing in this world.

The more difficulties one encounters, the more favorable it becomes in the Sight of God for him. That's why being disabled or having illnesses becomes instrumental to attain great good deeds.

When one encounters a difficulty, he needs to appreciate it and make use of it well. Difficulties and illnesses are blessings for Muslims.

There is the joy of faith in difficulties and hardships. One needs to experience the joy and the beauty of them.

People living in the swamp of unbelief are seriously polluted by that impurity. That smudge is seen on them. It reverberates on their flesh and bones, in their skin, in their gaze, in everything they have. That ruthless smudge of that merciless world contaminates them all over. When that person starts living by Islam, that smudge would leave that person gradually.

Love is the meaning of life. Hatred is far more difficult and it destroys one spiritually and physically. It destroys society, brings down social life and the economy. Hatred is dreadful.

There should be courses on national conscience in our curriculum. Lessons on the communist threat, the threat of partitioning Turkey, the dangers of Darwinism and materialism, on how to resist and respond to these ideologies should be taught by experienced teachers for at least three hours a week.

The longer one remains in this world, the more one might have the means to improve in the spiritual sense. After one passes away, after one goes to Heaven, there would be no need for courage, loyalty and everything else. They only eat and drink and have fun, praise God and become like the angels. That is why being in this world for a long time is rewarding as well; that is because when you remain in this world, you acquire millions of good deeds.

National conscience is the most crucial subject matter. If we lose Turkey, what good could come if one is an engineer or not? That is why we need to put courses on national conscience in our curriculum as soon as possible.

There is a struggle of survival. Turkey will either vanish completely, or become exalted and lead the whole Islamic world and the Turkish world; she will reach a beautiful point and wait for God to bestow that holy leadership on her.

Just like the PKK that gives an ideological education, we need to give an ideological education to Turkish soldiers, police officers and Turkish youth. "How can we attain national unity and integrity? What is the danger of PKK? What are the characteristics of communist organizations? How can communism get foothold? Why is the philosophy behind communism tainted and wrong? Why is Darwinism invalid?" All these matters should be taught in schools. Or else, may God forbid, there will be nothing left remaining from Turkey.

For one to live by the Qur'an, the Qur'an should be all around him. He should have the Qur'an right by his side, at his desk. He should hold on to the Qur'an like bread, like water.
