God says that, "This world is not the place for play and idle sport. The Heaven is the place for play and idle sport. This world is a place for trial." That is why if you fasten yourself to this world, you would be stuck with it, says God. But if you aim for the Hereafter, if you aim My approval, I will make you happy for all eternity, you will have fun and laugh. Those who fasten themselves to this world would merely grovel, let me say that much. They would merely wallow and flounder. Nothing else would ever happen.

A Muslim should hold on to God to death. He should accept being martyred, becoming a veteran, to be imprisoned, to be put into an asylum. He should be able to be thankful to God when those things happen. Then God opens his path to the utmost.

There is no need to consume such an extraordinary amount of energy for attaining deep faith. If a person is very sincere, a deep faith would instantly be formed. They are imagining that religion is very difficult. They say, "You need to ponder deeply, you need to think deeply." Actually one cannot succeed at thinking deeply through mere willpower; God is the One Who will make one think deeply. A person does not have any individual power. What we need to do then is to be sincere. We have to be sincere and ask for it from God.

Only a handful of people with genuine faith have empowered the faith of the whole world.

Love is the purpose of the foundation of this world. Almighty God would not create the universe if it was not for love. He creates for love. Love is also the purpose of Heaven. Love is the purpose of the trial [of the life of this world] as well. What God wants from us is love.

If there is a fervent love, that means there is a fervent faith. If one has a fervent love for a woman, you should know that he possesses a fervent faith. That is the sign of it.

Man is a being made up of blood, flesh and bones. Man possesses a thousand and one different weaknesses. How could one feel love for that? One would be insane. One could only be loved if he possesses the soul of God, if he is a noble being, if he is a being that would live for all eternity.

If a person does not believe in God, it would be impossible to find it in one's soul to trust that person. How could one see the other person if he does not possess the mind to see God? If one does not have it in his heart to be thankful to God, how could it be possible for him to thank another person? How could one be loyal to a servant of God if he cannot be loyal to God? It is faith that ensures the energy and nobility of love.

One worries about how he is going to wake up for the morning prayers, he troubles himself with it. Constantly whining, he says, "How am I to wake up that early?" Yet if you were to say, "We will give you five thousand liras in the morning without any provision", he would not sleep, he would not even blink until the morning. If you were to tell him that he should wash his face fifty times, and wash his arms fifty times and his feet fifty times and that he will be given five thousand liras every morning, millions of people would line up to do this. See that God promises eternal Heaven, yet he fails to do as God commands, because he does not believe in it: If he believed, he would have done that.

Muslims become handsome with faith, they become beautiful with trial. If that trial is taken away, Muslims would be devastated, may God forbid. I mean if one does not come across any difficulties, that means they acquire no good merits. We came to this world to be tested; that is why Almighty God says, "Or did you suppose that you would enter the Garden without facing the same as those who came before you?"

The trial of Muslims is really difficult. I mean an easy trial would be very humiliating for Muslims. That means there is really a painful situation for that person, that means there is something weird. The tougher one's trial, the better it is for him.

Materialists say, "If God exists, He should turn this world into Heaven. Why are there all those troubles and pains?" Look at the reasoning here. Haven't you come here to be tested? Since you are not here to have fun, since you are here to be tested, of course there will be pain and troubles. Of course there will be hardship. How are you going to be tested without those hardships?

In the Qur'an, God says "We tested you with many trials" (Surah Ta ha; 40) to the Prophet Moses (pbuh). 'We have tested you,' God says. And then he (Prophet Moses (pbuh)) becomes a prophet with firm resolve. If the things he survived were ordinary things, he would have been an ordinary person. But since he has been tested extraordinarily, he became an extraordinary personality.

God tests people extensively. The trial in this world is not an ordinary trial. There is a weighty trial, a weighty education. This is not solely a trial; actually it is education, only the name of it is “trial”.

Something happens and we act patiently. But we also reinforce our patience phase by phase. What is this, then? This is education. An education for what? An education for Heaven. God chooses a handful of Muslims and educates them here. When they are directly put in Heaven, what happened to the Prophet Adam (pbuh) happens. It doesn't work that way, that is to say. With the education given the mind settles, the personality develops and one starts appreciating the blessings of God.

God tests us with a beautiful trial. Actually that is also a beautiful education. In the end maturity, kindness and a personality suitable for the morality of Heaven develop.

Our Prophet's (saas) power of faith exhilarates the companions. Having a person with deep faith among them is an amazing feeling. That is why people love sheikhs, sheikhs of religious orders deeply. They love them because they have strong faith; at least people see them as people of strong faith.

Almighty God gives permission to the satan as a requisite of the trial in this world. With this wisdom, people are perfectly tested. The lower self matures in the struggle against the satan and it becomes perfect.

The blather of unbelief is so difficult that it is a trial in this world. It necessitates patience, that is for one. Secondly it necessitates attention. From which point that impertinent attitude is to be refuted should be investigated separately. These are not always from the same point of view, they all have to be proven with verses and then a rationale should be propounded.

Almighty God always aims for sincere, exalted faith. When Almighty God sees sincere, lofty faith in the world, He increases the abundance on this world: When there is weakness in faith, God reduces that abundance on the world. That is why pure and sincere Muslims should continue this spiritual reinforcement with all their might.

When one constantly sides with God, his faith would increase. People sometimes tend to abandon God a little and hold on to God from time to time. One should never break off his uninterrupted spiritual connection with God.

When one hears about those in need, the first thing that comes to his mind is being in need of food, in need of bread. One needs faith, one needs love of God. If you pray, God responds to your prayers. You need love, you need profundity, you need deep love for God.

Love is the portent of believing in God. When one believes in God, love would instantly be formed. God would instantly embed love in their hearts. In the verse, Almighty God says; "As for those who have faith and do right actions, the All-Merciful will bestow His love on them."

Well intentioned, truehearted women are very beautiful. When they are filled with evil thoughts inside, their faces would become very ugly and they would lose their sense of reason. They become repulsive.

God considers being loved as very important. The goal of God for us is not to love the food and the honey in the Heaven. Almighty God sees His being loved as crucially important. He wants us to love honey and the other beauties of Heaven as manifestations of Him. He would not let us love those blessings independently. Actually, we could not take pleasure from it anyway.
