We need to be the most modern country in Europe. Ankara should be even better than Paris. Istanbul should be far more high quality than London. It should have incomparable quality. There should be decent, kind, companionable people of peace everywhere. Everyone, people from all walks of life, people from every political party should feel love for one another in coffeehouses and streets.

For all the people across Europe, for people all around the world to be friends with us, before all else, for God to love us we need to become an amazing teacher of love. That is to say, we need to show an unprecedented personality. The world should watch us in awe. And we should be very, very modern.

Our Prophet (saas) was the most modern person of his time, the Prophet Abraham (pbuh) was the most modern person of his time. Some people imagine that struggling against modernity is a necessity of Islam. Satan deceives them and shows it as a wrongful path. Modernity is a blessing. Heaven is the most modern place the human mind can perceive of. Muslims should target modernity.

If we become a very modern country, a very enlightened country, if we attain the highest levels in the rights of women, if we become outstanding in arts, science, aesthetics and quality, we would become the strongest country in the world. Otherwise we would be a country that inevitably remains in the chain of Middle Eastern countries. Everyone would walk all over us and we would be devastated, may God forbid.

The plot they devised against Turkey, against the Turks, can only be dashed by making Turkey the most modern, highest quality state that attaches utmost importance to the rights of women, arts and science. Otherwise it seems that the plot they devised works like clockwork; Turkey is being dragged into the darkness of bigotry.

In bigotry, homes lack quality, their cars lack quality, their streets lack quality. An incomprehensible degeneracy pervades around them. The quality of the clothes goes bad, the quality of paintings, food and everything goes bad and becomes blunt. Bigotry advocates this bluntness, this crassness and this lack of quality and that is a grave danger. We need to be very cautious against that.

A country in which women are not modern can never be modern. A country in which women are not comfortable and free can never be free. No one would ever laugh in a country in which women do not laugh. If women are not happy in a country, no one else can ever be happy.

The state should be looking out for the system of the Mahdi with all its might. That is because in the system of the Mahdi, there is no intervention to the state. The system of the Mahdi would not interfere in politics; that is because it has a feature that unites the Turkish world, and it is also a system against bigotry, a system that fully encourages modernity and is fundamentally against separation. That is absolutely ideal for the state.

The government should make Turkey modern. All the institutions of the state should be modernized. Efforts should be made to modernize our people. The buildings, life in general, the system, everything should be modernized. Otherwise there would be a grave danger.

We need to be a very modern European country. This is something our government should emphasize the most. Without modernity, there would be no progress in science, in arts. Without modernity we would not have any military power. We would become a classical Middle Eastern country and collapse gradually.

Modernity, before all else, brings about sanity. In a bigoted system, the human mind cannot operate normally. In a bigoted environment people become half-insane. Look around and you will see that many of them are mentally unstable. In modern societies, the human mind operates sanely and rationally.

The traditionalist orthodox system imagines that the more they exert pressure in the name of God, the more they move closer to God: Actually, in such an environment, not only do people not get closer to God but they drift further apart from God and religion and they also lose their mental stability.

It is important that sincere, honest, modern -thinking pious people are at the forefront in all aspects of life. It is because such people are a guarantees for everyone: Christians, Jews, atheists: Those people fear God and won’t do anything that is not in good conscience. This is a great guarantee for everyone.

It is important to approach Muslims with compassion, no matter what. Because if you choose to get angry with them instead, you’d have to cut ties with almost ninety per cent of them. For instance, you call ISIS terrorists, and while we are vehemently against their ways, most Muslims in Afghanistan, Pakistan and India share the same views as ISIS: It is because they were raised that way. That is why we should try to save them, approach them with compassion, instead of severing ties with them.

Turkey should be a model country. They’ve been plotting to destroy Turkey for the past 200 years, particularly the British deep state. But why not help make it an ultra-modern,an exemplary country for the rest of the Islamic world, instead of seeking to destroy it? Turkey could do great services [for the world, if they helped make Turkey very modern].

For the sake of our country, for the sake of our national security and national integrity, the policy of hatred should end. It is important to stem the tide of bigotry, as its main policy is hatred towards everything.

The shadow state apparatus has a plan to encourage traditional, orthodox Islam, and thus make Islam look aggressive and psychopathic, and to set Muslim against Muslim. This is a grave danger.

Those who say that life must be miserable and wretched with no art or joy are ruining the Islamic world. We will not allow them to ruin Turkey in that way. Why should we not have music, or dance? You must come to your senses. What is there about these things that is incompatible with the faith? What verses of the Qur’an are these acts disobey? What harm do they do anyone? Where do you get these ideas from?

Of course we can have music and dancing and fun. You must not add artificial prohibitions to the faith. And then Islam will rule the world.

If you give fanaticism an inch, it takes a mile. It is very dangerous. The state must adopt a determined policy to spread modern thinking, a modern state structure and a modern conception of art. In other words, one must live by a modern Islam. What does modern mean? Like in the time of the Companions.

Some people assume that the bigotry that is going on right now will be reinforced ten-fold when Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) appears. That is not the case. The bigotry that is going on right now will be cleared out and a normal, humane life style will be embraced.

Our conservative Orthodox Muslim brothers assume that the Mahdi will come and see that the current radicalism as something very light and say, "What kind of bigotry is that? I will do a hundred times more of it." They believe that the world will be plunged into a pitch black darkness after him. The fact is however that Hazrat Mahdi will solve radicalism from the roots once and for all.

Art ennobles the human soul, it beautifies people and is the urgent nutrient of human soul. Europe has realized this and put that into practice very early on. They have attained very nice results in the end. Radicals, on the other hand, have dealt one of the biggest blows by estranging the Islamic world from the arts.

Israel is an intelligent, wise state in the region. It is an anti-communist state that sides with God. Turkey should be very good friends with Israel in any case.

Societies attain happiness when women are happy. For women to be happy, they should be free and well-protected. Both the state and people should be protective of them, everyone should protect and watch over women and they should be treasured everywhere they go so that they could be happy and vivacious.
