In the time of the Companions, the results were all taken with love and compassion. The love of our Prophet (saas) became famous and hundred thousands of people became Muslims in groups. They came to embrace faith not because violence was perpetrated, but because of love.

Intellectuals, people of thought should be sent everywhere. Turkey and the US have amazing means to do that; they have radio, televisions, newspapers; we would conduct an amazing campaign of preaching the word if they gave those to our command. All coasts would be cleared in less than a month.

If we had the means of the radio and television channels of Turkey and America under our command, we would very easily explain the invalidity of communism, terror and anarchy to the people of the whole region. All the coasts would then be cleared. Everyone would embrace one another and the issue would then be closed.

We are the servants of God who are in ignorance; God is the One Who is All-Knowing. We have no knowledge except what God has taught us.

Threats are blessings in disguise. If Islam is preached in a threatening environment, it would be a religious service. If one says, “Let me only perform my prayers and avoid threats,” his deeds will decrease considerably. But a Muslim would want to collect as many good deeds as he could. Why would one agree to attain one deed when it is possible to attain a million times more?

God would not give relief to those who are not on His path. If one says, “I would preach religion but I have to be very comfortable,” he would not be wanting to preach. Preaching religion is the name of the religious service performed when one is not comfortable.

What are the components of preaching religion? Pain, difficulties and threats… If these increase, the value of the preaching would increase as well, and you would attain the good pleasure of God even more. If your goal is to attain the good pleasure and the mercy of God, you would lovingly endure those. Living such a cowardly, timid life in this transient world is vey humiliating.

One says, “I have lived a very happy life, I have never faced any troubles all my life.” That is not a gain. First of all he won’t go to Heaven. In the Qur’an God says; “Or did you suppose that you would enter the Garden without facing the same as those who came before you?” (Surat Al-Baqara, 214) A Muslim should strive on the path of God, face difficulties and make an effort against unbelief, against the hypocrites.

It is difficult to give a struggle against hypocrites. It is difficult to give a struggle against unbelief. It is not easy to serve Islam for God. Of course one would face hardship; that hardship beautifies Muslims. The difficulties he faced is the reason why our Prophet (saas) was so beautiful.

The system of the Mahdi is not a force that prevails in the world only with preaching religion. Right now all the doors to the system of the Mahdi are opening. Is it the system of the Mahdi who does that? Is it the Mahdi (pbuh) who does that? No: God is the One Who creates everything. All the obstacles in front of the system of the Mahdi are being removed one by one right now. The entire system is prepared for the Mahdi. God makes all these changes.

We need to talk about a lucid world with an honest, sincere, clear and lucid mind. When everything is explained with the Qur'an, with the verses, a relief and ease is formed in the hearts of people. Or else, if you use the approach of the people devoted to this world towards them, even though they already know that this world will die eventually, it will be like you are literally blown away. Your being blown away would scare them. They would feel relieved only if they see that you are very well aware of the existence of God.

It is not acceptable to fire a bullet onto Muslims; that would bring about direness, it would bring about troubles. It is a grave decadence. The reward of it is an endless life in Hell. You preach to a Muslim, you explain to Muslims what the true path is with verses, with hadiths and with the Qur'an. Are you a murderer? What does air bombardment mean? You put them on trial and put them in jail if they have committed an offense.

“And your Lord would not have destroyed the cities unjustly while their people were reformers.”(Surah Hud; 117) So God says; “I would not destroy a country in which Islam is preached, in which genuine Muslims reside.” That is why no harm will fall on Turkey because Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) resides here. No big disasters will befall on Turkey, no calamities would fall upon Turkey. There will only be success and victory.

Politics is very cruel in itself. It is not easy. That is why what those who strive for spreading Islam should be doing is to explain the facts leading to faith, explaining the miracles of the Qur'an, reinforcing their own faith and fervor. Otherwise they cannot cope with such things.

They say, "We are preaching Islam, but they mock us." Who is the One that makes them mock? God is the One Who does that. He creates it at the same time with the preaching. It is a hidden honor created by God to increase the worth of preaching, of that act of worship. It is against unbelief, it is in favor of Muslims. It is an honor for Muslims and a scourge on disbelief. When you do not take that mocking seriously, your reward would increase many fold.

What is meant by jihad in the verses of the Qur'an is struggling; an intellectual struggle, an effort, all sorts of activities. People tend to take it as if it means "hanging people and chopping them up." The fact is however, jihad is the name of the effort put on the path of God.

God regards martyrdom as the highest form of love. That is what God likes the most. But of course the most acceptable martyrdom is attained while one is actually striving on the path of God. That is because such a person goes to war openly knowing that it is possible that he will be killed and will be martyred there. Going on a struggle on the path of God, without feeling fear, is what is most acceptable.

A Heaven resided in by robots is not an environment God likes, God doesn't want robots. One who hasn't proven his loyalty, his patience or his courage wouldn't have a feeling of self-worth in that sense. That means he couldn't regard himself as worthy and beautiful if he didn't make sacrifices, if he didn't act generously, if he didn't strive on the path of God, if he didn't do anything to show his love.

The Companions of our Prophet (saas) always strove for the sake of God. But the hypocrites always had excuses like ‘our houses are exposed' or ‘we would have come if we knew how’. However, if they were told that they would be given gold, they would have immediately obliged. That is because it would have served their interests. However, one's interests should always be in showing good morality; one should choose faith and reward from God instead of gold. Otherwise one would start to turn into an animal.

If no one ever objected to us as we preached the religion, if everyone accepted everything we said, supported us, praised us, what do you think would happen in the Hereafter? The reward would be much less. But if there is objection, if you are working and making an effort despite that objection, the reward will be immense. God creates resistance, a lot of resistance, only so that Muslims will be more greatly rewarded . It is a gift of God to Muslims.

Hypocrites tell Our Prophet (pbuh) and his companions, "If we knew how to fight, we would certainly follow you." Hypocrites intentionally make themselves appear as incompetent. Additionally, they do not want Muslims to carry out activities for the benefit of Islam. So, they also try to hinder Muslims in this regard.

Believers find excitement in the eagerness to carry out jihad, that is to say, struggling intellectually for the sake of Islam. If the hearts of people are plagued by laziness and carelessness, they grow weary and negligent. They withdraw into themselves as they do not concern themselves with religion, fear of God, or love of God. They do not feel any excitement that will reflect on their faces.

Our Prophet (saas) says; "whoever of you lives to see him, let him crawl over snow to him and join him". What is meant here is; "Do not give up your service just because the weather is cold." "If you have sensed who Mahdi (pbuh) is, if you have wholeheartedly attached yourself to the Mahdi (pbuh), you should continue your activities." That is the meaning of it. Sometimes cold weather might cause people to retract. You should not make cold, winter or the snow an excuse, you should continue your service.

Even if the Last Day is to come tomorrow, we are charged with serving Islam.

Violence begets terror, violence begets horror and by doing so you would be playing into the hands of irreligious people, into the hands of persecutors. Irreligiousness spreads in places where there is violence. Religion spreads in peaceful environments, in loving, compassionate environments.
