When one says trouble, people assume that it is always bad. Actually troubles come to people from the Presence of God; so does wealth, beauty, health. Sometimes troubles and illnesses come to us, sometimes beauty. Both of those are from God. None of them come randomly.

God is Great in the spiritual sense. God does not need greatness in volume. That is because He is out of time and space. Time and space exists for us, however.

Why would a soldier become a soldier? He becomes a soldier because he is ready to die for the sake of God, for the sake of his homeland and for his flag. This is the specialty of that profession. If police officers sense that their homeland is being sold out, they would make life unbearable for those who do that. They would then look for a hole to hide in and say ,"I wish I didn't do this!" The police officers, the soldiers would ruin them with the law and the legal system. The police and the soldiers would make them regret what they have done.

The Turkish police would be the first ones to respond if they attempt to divide Turkey. Do you know what Turkish police officers come for, when they join the police force? They come there to die for this homeland, for this nation, for this flag. Policing is the name of the profession that is determined to die for the sake of God.

Some people say, "Why is Syria being razed? Why is Iraq being razed? Why is Libya being razed? Why is Egypt being razed?" They fell into idolatry and idolatry brought troubles towards them. A Muslim should avoid ascribing partners to God.

Adnan Oktar

God says that Muslims will be successful so long as they do not ascribe partners to God. Some people fail to understand this secret. I mean if you abide by the Qur'an, you would not fall into idolatry. If you do not abide by the Qur'an and act according to made-up, false hadiths, you would be an idolater.

Blessings will increase if one is grateful. What does being grateful mean? It means abiding by the Qur'an, submitting to God and being pleased with what God gives. The man is not pleased with God and is constantly complaining. He believes – may God forbid - that God has treated him unjustly. How could there be blessings, if this is the case? Of course, such a person is not given blessings.

Adnan Oktar

God says " If you are grateful, I will certainly give you increase." They do not believe in this. They say "No, that is not what is going to happen." And as long as you keep saying it won't happen, you will continue to grovel.

If a person is patient, if he constantly thanks God, God would open the doors to him where he least expects. But because they constantly complain, blessings do not come upon them.

Adnan Oktar

God rewards a Muslim quietly. One might say, "I am in misery." God would reward you, if you are patient. If you are not patient, if you constantly complain, how can you expect anything good? Complaining would mean rebellion against God - may God forbid.

Sometimes God gives a rank to some people, gives them power, gives them means. You would not be a person of guidance if you say, "Why did God give him such a rank? Why did He give that person that easiness?" A person who -May God forbid - questions God would not be a person of guidance. One should say, "There is a goodness, a benevolence behind this. God knows but I don't."

A Muslim should enhance his love infinitely, his compassion, his beneficence infinitely. He should be trustworthy. He should not spy on Muslims. He should not play games and stab them in the back; he should not persecute them.
A9 TV; February 8th, 2015

Adnan Oktar

A Muslim should never say, "I have performed my prayers, so I will be able to go to Heaven and that would be enough for me." A Muslim should want his rank to be high in Heaven. There are different ranks, Muslims are in a competition with each other. They should want to reach higher and higher. And there is no end to it; how nice this is.

Does the Prophet Abraham (pbuh) ever do anything cruel? No, he doesn't. He is a compassionate, merciful, gentle person. I mean he never engages in anything against Muslims. He always acted in favor of Muslims and there was goodness in every one of his acts. Such people are the people of guidance.
A9 TV; February 8th, 2015

Adnan Oktar

The Qur'an defines these acts as cruelty; all kinds of attitudes that would disturb Muslims, that would sadden them, that would tire them or that would intimidate them or spy on Muslims. Cruelty means devising plots against Muslims, setting traps against Muslims. Performing prayers would not save such a person; he should avoid all kinds of cruelty.
A9 TV; February 8th, 2015

Adnan Oktar

A Muslim cannot act abnormally. According to the Qur'an, Muslims "have faith and do not mix up their faith with any wrongdoing." I mean, they do not attempt to do any wrongdoing and they never act on cruelty.

The whole world is in misery right now because of their stinginess. There are a handful of wealthy people and they constitute, let us say, 1% of the world's population and the other 99% is in poverty. As the manifestation of the Qur'anic verses, the whole world is in misery. If they give up that tight-fisted attitude, the whole world would become rich.

Properties are created inside one's brain. A Muslim prays for God to distribute that image inside his brain and that is it. But some are unable to have the heart to give up that image, they do not have the heart to distribute it.

Radicals see Islam as unsavory in their own minds. Actually joy and happiness is Islam; Islam is a beauty. But these people consider joy and happiness as unsavory. That makes it a sort of the spirit of unbelievers.

The People of Hell are specifically created. I mean they are special beings that are bereft of guidance. They are created with the character of disbelievers.

Adnan Oktar

Guidance is a special knowledge, a special spirit, that opens one's mind, that open's one's perception and makes one's brain work. If one is unable to find that guidance, that means he is created as "closed" to Islam. Such people are unable to understand Islam; that portion of their brains does not work.

Some people say, “What if God did not create pain?” Well then you would be obtuse. Let us say that you have gone by the river in Heaven; you would simply look at it with vain eyes. But if you have suffered through ordeals, you would kiss each and every single one of the pebble stones in Heaven numerous times. Almighty God gives people a lengthy life and makes them experience these ordeals because it is crucial. After that people people return to normal. Quotes

Some people ask, “Why does God create pain?” There is beauty in the essence of pain that is why. Paradise cannot be attained without pain. There is no love without pain. A person would then be obtuse. One needs to go through all these ordeals and pains to gain that profundity. Quotes

Some say, “Why do we suffer through ordeals in this world? Why do we feel pain?” That is because you are educated through those pains. You become a person, you become a real human being. Otherwise, if you do not suffer through any ordeals, you would simply be dull. Man is educated through ordeals. Quotes

A person who suffers through ordeals and who experiences hardships will become beautiful. He becomes even more beautiful as time passes and he becomes even younger. If the unbelievers live through the same things, they would collapse. But Muslims become even younger and even more beautiful with hardships. These have the exact opposite impact. Quotes

A Muslim should definitely live suffering through ordeals and hardships. For instance one writes books and makes research for God while the other goes around having fun. But Muslims suffer through hardships. Then you look and see that he is very radiant and has become so beautiful. The other one says, “I am living my life in leisure,” but you see that he has become dull and blunt and has lost his meaning. Such a person cannot have fun. He imagines that he is having fun but he cannot. Quotes

It is difficult to give a struggle against hypocrites. It is difficult to give a struggle against unbelief. It is not easy to serve Islam for God. Of course one would face hardship; that hardship beautifies Muslims. The difficulties he faced is the reason why our Prophet (saas) was so beautiful. Quotes

A Muslim is the one who lives by the religion of God even in hardship. Almighty God says; “ For truly with hardship comes ease; truly with hardship comes ease.” (Surat Al-Inshirah, 5-6) A Muslim would surely face such difficulties. Quotes

One says, “I have lived a very happy life, I have never faced any troubles all my life.” That is not a gain. First of all he won’t go to Heaven. In the Qur’an God says; “Or did you suppose that you would enter the Garden without facing the same as those who came before you?” (Surat Al-Baqara, 214) A Muslim should strive on the path of God, face difficulties and make an effort against unbelief, against the hypocrites. The trial of Muslims is really difficult. I mean an easy trial would be very humiliating for Muslims. That means there is really a painful situation for that person, that means there is something weird. The tougher one's trial, the better it is for him. Quotes

Being subjected to threats is the sunnah of the Prophets. God is the One Who creates these threats. Quotes

What are the components of preaching religion? Pain, difficulties and threats… If these increase, the value of the preaching would increase as well, and you would attain the good pleasure of God even more. If your goal is to attain the good pleasure and the mercy of God, you would lovingly endure those. Living such a cowardly, timid life in this transient world is vey humiliating. Quotes

Even under threats a Muslim would wholeheartedly want to do the right thing. He should say, “If only I were threatened so that I could attain much bigger deeds.” Our Prophet (saas) always lived under threats; he lived under the threats of Abu Jahl, Abu Lahab, the threats of the Pharaohs of that time. The Prophet Moses always lived under the threat of the Pharaoh. Quotes

Threats are blessings in disguise. If Islam is preached in a threatening environment, it would be a religious service. If one says, “Let me only perform my prayers and avoid threats,” his deeds will decrease considerably. But a Muslim would want to collect as many good deeds as he could. Why would one agree to attain one deed when it is possible to attain a million times more? Quotes

A Muslim should hold on to God to death. He should accept being martyred, becoming a veteran, to be imprisoned, to be put into an asylum. He should be able to be thankful to God when those things happen. Then God opens his path to the utmost. Quotes

One goes through a very staggering trial. People should not expect such an easy trial and they should not be surprised to see that it is not easy. Otherwise, it would not be a trial anyway. The man wants to live a life with the mindset of a retired person and then die that way; that is not going to happen. Muslims go through a staggering trial if they have genuine faith. Quotes

We will all go to Hereafter. There will be no one who wouldn’t. Almighty God puts us through an important trial, an important test. Without this education we cannot be normal people. Quotes

God says that, "This world is not the place for play and idle sport. The Heaven is the place for play and idle sport. This world is a place for trial." That is why if you fasten yourself to this world, you would be stuck with it, says God. But if you aim for the Hereafter, if you aim My approval, I will make you happy for all eternity, you will have fun and laugh. Those who fasten themselves to this world would merely grovel, let me say that much. They would merely wallow and flounder. Nothing else would ever happen. Quotes

God checks up faith related sensitivities. Starting from the Prophet Adam (pbuh) until the Last Day, all people will be put through a perfect trial without any exceptions. No one has ever been granted any privileges that would remove their freewill of mind. Quotes

Love is the purpose of the foundation of this world. Almighty God would not create the universe if it was not for love. He creates for love. Love is also the purpose of Heaven. Love is the purpose of the trial [of the life of this world] as well. What God wants from us is love. Quotes

Muslims become handsome with faith, they become beautiful with trial. If that trial is taken away, Muslims would be devastated, may God forbid. I mean if one does not come across any difficulties, that means they acquire no good merits. We came to this world to be tested; that is why Almighty God says, "Or did you suppose that you would enter the Garden without facing the same as those who came before you?" Quotes

Materialists say, "If God exists, He should turn this world into Heaven. Why are there all those troubles and pains?" Look at the reasoning here. Haven't you come here to be tested? Since you are not here to have fun, since you are here to be tested, of course there will be pain and troubles. Of course there will be hardship. How are you going to be tested without those hardships? Quotes

In the Qur'an, God says "We tested you with many trials" (Surah Ta ha; 40) to the Prophet Moses (pbuh). 'We have tested you,' God says. And then he (Prophet Moses (pbuh)) becomes a prophet with firm resolve. If the things he survived were ordinary things, he would have been an ordinary person. But since he has been tested extraordinarily, he became an extraordinary personality. Quotes

God tests people extensively. The trial in this world is not an ordinary trial. There is a weighty trial, a weighty education. This is not solely a trial; actually it is education, only the name of it is “trial”. Quotes
