The same respect should be shown both to those who vote ‘no’ and ‘yes’ in the referendum for the constitutional amendments. That is a requisite of democracy.

In a referendum one must show respect to both those who say 'yes' and 'no'. This is what democracy stands for.

No one can target or plot against Turkey as long as she is modern, civilized, democratic and champions women’s rights.

The most effective solution to a military coup is a political attitude embracing people from all segments of thought without excluding anyone.

No one should be criticized for making her/his own choice based on good conscience. People should choose freely in a democratic atmosphere.

Turkey should act in unity. This period we are going through necessitates the government and opposition parties to act as one.

The fact that those criticizing the government voice their ideas freely demonstrates the strength of democracy in Turkey. There is no need to be disturbed by that.

Turkey is a democratic country and this is not Turkey's first referendum. Under all circumstances, the outcome will be auspicious.

Turkey is a democratic country. A referendum would only reinforce our brotherhood. Both those who would vote ‘yes’ and those who would vote ‘no’ are the children of our country.

The reign of Islamic morality around the world means the reign of peace, love, democracy, freedom and quality. Everyone would like it.

Democracy is about diversity of thought, freedom to pursue different political goals. But our people don't want deceit or plots.

We don't want any dissident voices to be silenced. An abundance of dissident voices is the beauty of democracy.

There is no such thing as ‘the freedom to insult’ in any democratic country. Criticism and opinions must be expressed within the boundaries of respect.

Opposition is necessary for progress and development. But it is important to be constructive and positive at all times.

The verse in the Qur’an, “your religion is yours and my religion is mine” is the most perfect description of democracy and secularism.

Opposition from inside or outside would always bring prosperity to a political party as long as it is national and local.

The fact that the opposition exists in Turkey is one of the strongest evidences that democracy exists. It should be promoted.

A righteous and honest criticism is supported but opposing merely to stir up sedition and disorder is a disgrace.

Opposition is righteous as long as it is based on righteous grounds. This is also what befits Turkey.

A Turkey with multiple voices is good. Every political party must preserve its own understanding of politics; this is Turkey's own wealth. This multi-voice structure and the existence of a strong opposition is what made the coup mentality ineffective.

It is a righteous demand to ask for perfection in judicial system as long as it in line with laws. Opposition brings democratic opulence.

It is not nice to object to everything. A bad temper stems from lack of love.

The strong voice of the opposition shows that democracy works perfectly well in Turkey.

Societies where women can't be free, laugh, go outside and be happy are condemned to collapse. God would not let oppression of His servants. Women should laugh as they want. It is wrong to consider fun as men's right and not of women's. Women know right and wrong via their conscience.

God first gives hypocrites vast opportunity but then He destroys them. The means that they possess cause them to get more evil.
