Being loved and respected makes people happy. In the absence of love, people cannot find happiness no matter where they are or where they go.

There should be a race among men to respect women. That is the extent of the respect women deserve.

Sales assistants should be treated kindly and with respect. Treating them like they are robots is very disrespectful.

We don't want any dissident voices to be silenced. An abundance of dissident voices is the beauty of democracy.

Football is good for young people as a fun, socializing and energizing activity. But there should be no swearing, no insults or aggression.

Those who cannot appreciate Allah’s artistry, of course cannot appreciate ladies, beauties, the nature, beautiful animals, and him/herself. Such people have no self-respect as well.

Getting defensive in the face of constructive criticism is an unwise reflex. Constructive criticism helps one see details and improve oneself.

The verse in the Qur’an, “your religion is yours and my religion is mine” is the most perfect description of democracy and secularism.

We criticize a person only to correct his mistakes; we don’t want anyone to feel down.

Democracy is about diversity of thought, freedom to pursue different political goals. But our people don't want deceit or plots.

The reign of Islamic morality around the world means the reign of peace, love, democracy, freedom and quality. Everyone would like it.

Turkey is a democratic country. A referendum would only reinforce our brotherhood. Both those who would vote ‘yes’ and those who would vote ‘no’ are the children of our country.

We, the Turks, respect peaceful, democratic communists, but will not accept those that resort to violence.

Destroying the beauty of a woman is -in a sense- like killing her. It is a blessing to appreciate women’s beauty. A woman’s beauty should be appreciated by showing respect to her honor and modesty.

Muslims cannot be criticized with inadequate information. Criticism should be done by using the appropriate verses of the Qur’an and saying that a certain behavior is wrong according to that verse.

No one should be criticized for making her/his own choice based on good conscience. People should choose freely in a democratic atmosphere.

It won’t be possible to correct people or wrong manners simply by using a criticizing language. It is easy to attain results with a positive, rational, moderate language.

As Turkey we need to use a loving language that constantly encourages the right way of behaving. It won’t be possible to attain good results with a language that constantly disagrees and criticizes.

Democratic displays and protests are the rights of every citizen but vandalism or attacking security officers is unacceptable. A society that talks, discusses, opposes the things they dislike and defends their different opinions is a beautiful society. But violence is never acceptable as a method.

Turkey must become the most modern and most democratic country of the highest quality as soon as possible. Only then will the anti-Turkey movement disappear.

When someone is subject to slander or harassment, it is his or her natural right to demand justice from the legal system.

There are some people trying to make it lawful to insult and curse the state. No state of law would accept that.

Insults to religion and sacred values are regarded almost as if it is normal. Yet when religious people make the slightest mistake, they are given such a hard time.

We are a modern, secular, enlightened, democratic community that takes everything beautiful as a basis, that demands what is elegant and high-quality, that are keen on what is lawful and what is not.

Muslims are one another’s bothers. If one has a mistake, you simply give advice; resorting to violence and insults is not acceptable.
