Laws should be based on a combination of reason and conscience. Purely technical laws with no room for conscience cannot ensure justice.

No one can target or plot against Turkey as long as she is modern, civilized, democratic and champions women’s rights.

In a referendum one must show respect to both those who say 'yes' and 'no'. This is what democracy stands for.

The same respect should be shown both to those who vote ‘no’ and ‘yes’ in the referendum for the constitutional amendments. That is a requisite of democracy.

Having a strong opposition shows that Turkey has democracy. Therefore our brothers should not be bothered with opposition.

Conscientious people are very different than others. People acting on their good conscience would immediately be recognized.

The mindset that considers man as a being acting with instincts is a disaster. Man is a wise and conscientious being. He has volition of his own.

The fact that those criticizing the government voice their ideas freely demonstrates the strength of democracy in Turkey. There is no need to be disturbed by that.

Turkey is a democratic country and this is not Turkey's first referendum. Under all circumstances, the outcome will be auspicious.

We, the Turks, respect peaceful, democratic communists, but will not accept those that resort to violence.

The main principle of Freemasonry is freedom of thought, respect for ideas, peace, friendship and brotherhood. Yet not every Mason can match that level of refinement. Surely there can be ignorant people among Masons that don't respect ladies and all humans in general, or who have no respect for art or refinement.

Man is responsible for his actions. God inspires every person the right choices. This is a great blessing for people.

There is no such thing as ‘the freedom to insult’ in any democratic country. Criticism and opinions must be expressed within the boundaries of respect.

God inspires the truth to the conscience of good people.

Sincerity is when one has no pressure on his conscience. The most easy and beautiful way of living is a life of sincerity.

As long as it does not limit someone else’s freedom and happiness and does not contradict laws, people should be completely free.

Democratic displays and protests are the rights of every citizen but vandalism or attacking security officers is unacceptable. A society that talks, discusses, opposes the things they dislike and defends their different opinions is a beautiful society. But violence is never acceptable as a method.

Turkey must become the most modern and most democratic country of the highest quality as soon as possible. Only then will the anti-Turkey movement disappear.

We are a modern, secular, enlightened, democratic community that takes everything beautiful as a basis, that demands what is elegant and high-quality, that are keen on what is lawful and what is not.

The way to gridlock coups is modernism, high-quailty, arts and all kinds of freedom.

Religion provides the highest level of freedom and is the best model of life.

Under the influence of the traditionalist orthodox understanding of religion, the Middle East appears as a region that lacks freedoms, quality, art and beauty. This is why they are trying to re-shape the Middle East.

The rules of a society not abiding by the morality of the Qur'an are suffocating. Islam grants the greatest freedom to human beings.

Armenians, Kurds, Circassians, Turks are all true owners of this country. As long as they are democrats, it doesn't matter what views they hold.

President Trump's invitation of representatives of all divine faiths on the National Day of Prayer is an auspicious and benevolent practice.
