The vast majority of the Turkish people are Ataturkist, intellectual people who have progressive thoughts, who like freedoms, who understand Islam as it was in the time of the Companions, people who advocate modern Islam. All our youth are modern. Consequently it would not be possible to enforce bigoted, fanatical understanding of Islam in Turkey.

If it is possible to take the son of a minister into custody, that government is a sound one. No one can talk about fascism, dictatorship or the absence of democracy in such a country. It means that democracy is operating like clockwork; this is the farthermost example of it.

Insha'Allah we are in an age in which everyone will be brothers and peace will prevail; an age in which persecutors will lose their influence, all wars, anarchy and terror will stop and love, respect, goodness, beauty, abundance, modernity, science and democracy will prevail.

All demands about democracy are blessed and beautiful. Freedom is beautiful. Human rights are beautiful. But demands about separation, communist ruling, Stalinist ruling.. They should forget about those..

Being a communist is not an offense but being a terrorist, anarchist, ferocious organization is an offense. Otherwise if it were to remain on the intellectual level, be a communist, defend any other ideology you like we would not be concerned by any of them. You can be an atheist, you can be a communist, but if you attempt to employ violence and terror, we would be standing against you. We would not let you do that.

When religion is set free, abundance comes to that country. This is the sole reason behind the plentitude in US; the fact that religion is free there. When religion is set free in Turkey, Turkey will be radiant and plentitude will come upon Turkey as well.

Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) should come for democracy to come to the Islamic World. That is because Orthodox Islamic faith does not give way to democracy.

People should be set free; interventions to society on unnecessary matters might disrupt the balance.

There should not be any intervention on people's attire. Everyone is free to wear whatever they like, what others wear is of no one's concern. We should do something about the ignorance of people not about their clothing. I mean we should strive to put an end to ignorance.

The concept of secularity exists in the complete sense in the Qur'an. Secularity as described in the Qur'an should be put into practice. Everyone should be utmost free in their beliefs. The essence is not to intervene in anyone's beliefs. One cannot interfere in the beliefs of an irreligious person, or a religious one, or a mason or a communist or anyone else for that matter. They all are first class citizens.

The fact that Turkey is a modern country should be emphasized thoroughly. It should be well emphasized that we are a democratic country that protects the rights of women, that advocates the arts, beauty, aesthetics and science. A misleading image has been formed about our country, portraying Turkey as inclined to radicalism: We need to eliminate that image completely.

Freedom would bring about comfort and abundance. We should protect Jews, we should protect Christians and irreligious people as well. Let us create such a liberal, refreshing, beautiful environment. A very wealthy, sound understanding of religion would prevail in such an environment. Secularity is a system that exists in the essence of religion.

If you exert pressure, people would feel abased. You would make people who normally would not consume alcohol start consuming alcohol, you would cause people who would normally perform their prayers, stand apart from prayers; things that would not normally happen would start to happen. I mean oppression would disrupt a person’s balance.

Targeting the happiness of people is the characteristic of the system of the Mahdi. The system of the Mahdi is not oppressive, it would interfere with anyone else's faith or opinion. Everyone will be free. A very devout center will present love to everyone.

There is a feeling of fear in people and that is a grave danger. In the recent events many people remained silent. In fact they could have adopted a manner siding by the state and by democracy through their ideas, their speeches and their writings.

Those who resort to violence actually burn out their own souls. Ideas spread with science, love, reason and democracy.

We cannot impose our understanding of morality to others, we cannot interfere anyone’s beliefs.

Democratic youngsters give us liveliness, that is nice. But no harm should ever come to a life or a public property.

It is a beauty for youngsters to be free in their beliefs. No one is obliged to accept any idea, let everyone be free.

The best thing to do is to voice ideas without giving rise to an environment of conflict.

Strongly and persistently emphasizing free and democrat Turkey would keep people’s heart at ease.

There is no such thing as claiming that whoever makes the greatest fuss would come to power. Those who advocate democracy better would come to power. AKP’s contribution to democracy is apparent.

Those who come to power democratically can only be overthrown with democratic means. Those who come to power with elections can only go with elections. If a government can easily be overthrown with a few tapes and a few rumors, with such threats it means there is no democracy.

Wireless internet should be limitless everywhere in the world. It is very important to increase the knowledge of people. There will be no democracy in an ignorant and uninformed society.

It is not acceptable to make people accept communism through violence and terror. People are honorable, dignified and intelligent beings: It would be very repressive and hard on them to force them to accept an opinion through violence and fear.
