As Turkey we need to use a loving language that constantly encourages the right way of behaving. It won’t be possible to attain good results with a language that constantly disagrees and criticizes.

Muslims cannot be criticized with inadequate information. Criticism should be done by using the appropriate verses of the Qur’an and saying that a certain behavior is wrong according to that verse.

We criticize a person only to correct his mistakes; we don’t want anyone to feel down.

Criticisms brought to a Muslim should be with the Qur’an. Instead of talking according to one’s own mentality, it is important to cricitize by saying ‘this is the case according to this verse of the Qur’an’.

There is no such thing as ‘the freedom to insult’ in any democratic country. Criticism and opinions must be expressed within the boundaries of respect.

Getting defensive in the face of constructive criticism is an unwise reflex. Constructive criticism helps one see details and improve oneself.

A righteous and honest criticism is supported but opposing merely to stir up sedition and disorder is a disgrace.

When we criticize someone, we aim to correct the ways of that person. We would not want that person to be oppressed or fade away.

While criticizing a Muslim, one should say 'This is so and so according to this verse of the Qur'an'. Otherwise there is no error to criticize.

I wish for people who are on the wrong path to correct their ways and not get deeper in their errors so that they are won over. To correct those who are on the wrong path, I respond to misdeeds with good. My tone is always reconciliatory and compassionate. I want to win over people I criticize, not humiliate them.

Anyone criticizing us must document his criticism with proofs from the Qur'an. They must say, “This is wrong according to this verse.” It’s unacceptable to say, “This is wrong according to my own conviction.”

Democratic struggle; even with harshest words or opposition is acceptable. But firing at civilians can never be accepted.

I live my life according to the Qur’an. If those who criticize me could show me verses from the Qur’an as evidence for their criticisms, I would succumb immediately.

If the British Deep State attempts to oppress any of our Muslim brothers, we would not just sit around and watch. We will shake the ground within the limits of the law.

People think that they will lose the respect of others when they receive criticism. This is not true. It’s important to honestly accept criticism.

I live my life the way I understand from the Qur’an. While making a criticism to a believer one should say ‘you are making a mistake according to “this” verse of the Qur’an.’ A criticism made without showing a verse from the Qur’an as evidence would have no meaning. When one says, ‘You are making a mistake according to ‘this’ verse,’ a believer would instantly heed that advice.

A Muslim feels pleased by being criticized and corrects his mistakes. A hypocrite, on the other hand, gets paralyzed when they are criticized.

Self-criticism is crucial to prevent arrogance. If one thinks of himself as immune to mistakes, he’s already fallen into satan’s trap; self-criticism is a remedy. God forbid, those who refrain from it will only hurt themselves.

Criticism should always be constructive and include a solution. It’s important to point to solutions that will help people.

Blind, angry criticism is very wrong. Criticism is necessary, but it should be done to help, not to humiliate.

It is quite natural for a Muslim to make a mistake. People should not be afraid of making mistakes. Even if it is a big mistake, it can be solved by giving advice. But reacting angrily to advice is not normal. You could say, "Okay, I will consider this. May God bless you. I will try my best." That's it. But angry overreaction to advice is abnormal behavior.

Of course, a believer should be open to advice. A Muslim might make a mistake, there is nothing wrong with this but he should always pay heed to advice of others: In other words, a Muslim shouldn't be arrogant, disrespectful and snobbish, right? Even though he won't follow the advice, he should politely listen to it within the limits of the Qur'an and say, "I will try hard to do so."

Fiercely defending one's own desires is a mental illness. One should get a grip on himself in this situation and take refuge in God. He should ask himself, "How did I turn into such an abnormal person?" He should listen to what others have to say in a reasonable manner. A Muslim is open to 'al-amr bi-l-maʿrūf wa-n-nahy ʿani-l-munkar' (enjoining what is right and forbidding what is wrong). Therefore, he becomes wiser with ease.

Muslims criticize themselves every single day. Not wasting time, searching for the act that would bring them the good pleasure of God the most and for the right course of action, avoiding wastage, say the most appropriate things… these are subjects Muslims should always think about.

If there is anything wrong we have done, they can warn us giving references from the Qur’an. We are not doing any act that is deemed unlawful in the Qur’an and we would never do. Since those who criticize us are also aware of this fact, they are unable to say that this is unlawful according to the Qur’an, they merely say this is unlawful in my opinion. We abide by the Qur’an not anyone’s own convictions. We would heed the advice the moment we are warned with the verses of the Qur’an. We are positive people. We accept and embrace what is right the moment we see it. But they fail to bring us any evidence from the Qur’an.
