Democratic rights and freedoms in Turkey are much better compared to other countries and are getting even better.

It is a righteous demand to ask for perfection in judicial system as long as it in line with laws. Opposition brings democratic opulence.

It is not nice to object to everything. A bad temper stems from lack of love.

Providing that it is legitimate, all protests, marches and rallies are favorable in terms of showing the prosperity of democracy in Turkey.

There is a serious attack against Turkey at the moment and the Turkish state is protecting herself while painstakingly striving to protect democracy.

Demanding “an opportunity to divide Turkey” is not democracy.

Democratic displays and protests are the rights of every citizen but vandalism or attacking security officers is unacceptable. A society that talks, discusses, opposes the things they dislike and defends their different opinions is a beautiful society. But violence is never acceptable as a method.

Turkey must become the most modern and most democratic country of the highest quality as soon as possible. Only then will the anti-Turkey movement disappear.

One other good aspect of our activities is that we have an understanding that conciliates the conservative part of the society with the secular part. There is a lack of communication between these two parts that is being used by those who want to dissociate the society. Many examples of these have been experienced in the past. Our activities are of crucial importance to avoid experiencing similar incidents again. Both parts are the children of this country, both sides are valuable. When there is a rigid understanding, it would not be possible for the conservative part to reach people who live by the shores, to the secular ones. Both sides continue their lives among themselves. By explaining the fact that the Qur’an brings democracy, secularity and freedom, we remove the prejudices of both parties. But it seems as though some bigots are determined to divide society, so we are trying to correct this. We will insha’Allah live together as brothers with love.

Unity of society is important. There is bound to be opposition, there should be an environment in which everyone would be able to voice their criticisms and the other side should be allowed to respond to these criticisms; all these are perfectly natural. But striving to prevent any damage on the spirit of brotherhood during such difficult times of Turkey is of crucial importance. That is why we need to keep the language used as calm as possible and be even-tempered.

The verse in the Qur’an, “your religion is yours and my religion is mine” is the most perfect description of democracy and secularism.

Opposition is necessary for progress and development. But it is important to be constructive and positive at all times.

There is no such thing as ‘the freedom to insult’ in any democratic country. Criticism and opinions must be expressed within the boundaries of respect.

We don't want any dissident voices to be silenced. An abundance of dissident voices is the beauty of democracy.

Democracy is about diversity of thought, freedom to pursue different political goals. But our people don't want deceit or plots.

Turkey should act in unity. This period we are going through necessitates the government and opposition parties to act as one.

The most effective solution to a military coup is a political attitude embracing people from all segments of thought without excluding anyone.

Having a strong opposition shows that Turkey has democracy. Therefore our brothers should not be bothered with opposition.

Opposition from inside or outside would always bring prosperity to a political party as long as it is national and local.

The fact that the opposition exists in Turkey is one of the strongest evidences that democracy exists. It should be promoted.

A righteous and honest criticism is supported but opposing merely to stir up sedition and disorder is a disgrace.

Opposition is righteous as long as it is based on righteous grounds. This is also what befits Turkey.

A believer considers serving Islam as a blessing but hypocrites don’t want to serve Islam. They follow their own evil religious law. Living alone, being stingy and feckless, leading an aimless, vain life, any act of moral turpitude and lying are all acceptable in the evil religious understanding of hypocrites.

A believer could never understand the spirit of a hypocrite or an unbeliever. It is a way of life that believers do not know and would never understand.

A believer who lives according to the moral values of the Qur’an is responsible to protect others like his own children. This is the system of guardianship in Islam.
