Quote
If a person is very egocentric, if he likes himself a lot, if he has an extreme air of haughtiness, all his body becomes egocentric. The whole body becomes his ego. His whole body becomes sick. I mean he becomes insane. That is what happened to Pharaoh, to Nimrod. They lost their sanity. When that is the case, satan settles in their body. They become unable to act rationally and in a balanced manner. They lose the ability to be reasonable.

Unbelievers and hypocrites demonstrate herding behavior, just like the animals. They act jointly. Just like reindeers, bison herds, unbelievers behave in herds as well. When they see a danger coming, they attack like a bison herd. Unbelievers behave in herds like that as well.

Quote
Sometimes the acts of Muslim might look very much like the acts of a hypocrite but that doesn't make him a hypocrite, it only means that he caught a disease. When you save him from that disease, he would go on as a Muslim. But when you apply the same treatment to the hypocrite - there is a grave danger here - the hypocrite might appear as if he is saved as well, but he continues his ways underhandedly.

Quote
Hypocrites ask the Prophet to excuse them, saying, ´Our houses are exposed,´ when they were not exposed. What do they mean by saying that their houses are exposed? They mean to say, "I have a family at home, I need to take care of them, of their education. I need to bring food to my spouse at home, I need to take care of her. My store is exposed as well. My trade is mired down, I need to take care of that." Well my brother, alright, but they are killing, martyring Muslims all over. Is your store more important or their being martyred?

Quote
If you run after the transient world, God would make it constantly run away from you and the world would then become a trouble for you. However, the world would become beautiful with self-sacrificing people. For instance, our Prophet (saas) was very altruistic and selfless. His companions were very altruistic and selfless. None of them were self-seeking. Societies with self-seeking people collapse.

Many people are after their own pleasure and their own joy and use Islam to that end. They keep busy with their trade, looking for ways to eat, drink and travel, to get married and get on with their lives. This is the mindset of a great portion of the Islamic world. That is why God ruins the Islamic world. God wants them to turn towards Him yet they do not. God says, "You are after the transient blessings of this world but the Hereafter is the abode that is auspicious and beautiful, if you only knew."

God protects and nurtures Muslims. Sometimes Almighty God takes them to His Sight. Just like He took the Prophet Jesus (pbuh) to His Sight, just like He took the Prophet John (pbuh) and the Prophet Zechariah (pbuh) to His Sight as martyrs, but that would all be for the good of Muslims in any case.

There is immense opposition against religion in newspapers, on the radio, in the streets, among families, in many different spheres. A Muslim preserving his faith despite all that would be attaining a lot of good deeds.

Time in Heaven will be endless for Muslims. That is because they are carrying God's Soul. God's Soul never dies; just like there is no death for God, there is no death for His Soul either. God says that He breathed His Soul into man.

Muslims are killing Muslims: All this would end if Muslims have a leader. With the Islamic Union, all Muslims will be saved. They will be saved on that day and hour. A spiritual leader, a leader elected with a loving bond would stop all the terror and all the groups of anarchy. That will spread a spirit that takes love and brotherhood as its basis to the whole Islamic world and everyone will see that they are protective friends of one another.

What one would be doing in his lifetime is already defined in his destiny. What will happen is already preordained in destiny but he worries nevertheless, yet God has created everything in the best way possible. What is the sense of this worry? I mean there is no logic behind it and there is no rational explanation for that worry. That is because everything has already happened anyway. You are worrying in vain. Almighty God has created the best in everything.

Information does not flow to the brain out of the blue. The brain should be disciplined; it should be educated. It is not possible to do by sitting back, one needs to work for it. Thinking is an act of worship, just like prayers.

The reason why that little child washed ashore is because Muslims didn't select a leader, because they did not decide to unite. But the most important point in the decision to unite is to elect a leader. Everyone, all the heads of states keep saying, "Let us unite," without selecting a leader. Select your leader and then see if everyone unites or not? If you say, "This is our leader" that means unity is accomplished.

Loyalty is for God. The cost of loyalty is very hard for a faithless person. It would get a person into trouble. It brings plenty and radiance to Muslims, it brings beauty. It is an immense beauty and bravery. Every single minute one shows patience would shatter his bones and cause a great suffering. Patience is shown only with faith. That is why people are obliged to the Qur'an.

One cannot have a beautiful morality simply by saying, 'Let me have good morality.' Good morality can only be attained by fearing God, by loving God. Otherwise one would not be generous. He would feel pain inside when he gives something to someone. Forgiving would make him enraged. Without faith, without the fear of God, forgiving becomes very unnerving.

With weakness of faith comes weakness in morality. That is because one learns good morality from the Qur'an. Without Islam, one would not try to be patient. He would say, 'Why should I be patient?' The most important thing for a Muslim is to have a strong faith. Weakness in faith ruins people. Weakness of faith is the biggest problem in the world. At least 70% of the Qur'an refers to weakness of faith and to the importance of the facts leading to faith.

Have a look at some people around you, at those who do not let anyone say a single word about themselves. They come up with an explanation to every single thing they are told. They do not even accept something that should certainly be criticized about. That kind of attitude would create heavy damage and cause a very significant problem in one's psyche. Look around you and you will see; but those who criticize themselves are very lenient. Such people are very stable and very consistent. You can see that around you as well. That is a miracle of the Qur'an.

In order to be stable and reasonable one should certainly criticize himself. Even if it is once in a while, he should certainly criticize himself and one should do so when he is in the company of others. Only then one could become a stable, reasonable person. If one does not criticize himself and sees himself as sufficient and above criticism, he would become insane. A Muslim should certainly criticize himself and have others criticize him. This is necessary for one's sanity or else one's mental health would be disrupted; his judgment and reasoning would be impaired. His foresight and perception would be blocked. Have a look at those around you, you will see. Avoiding criticisms would cause instability and would prevent one to be reasonable.

There is no ambition of ownership in the morality described in the Qur'an. Everything belongs to everyone; brotherhood comes to the forefront. Everyone shares everything they have with their brothers. They will share everything they have, everything they eat, they drink, they wear, everything they own. There will be no such thing as hoarding goods, acting ambitiously, etc. These are all things that they have come up with later on saying, "You are to give one fortieth of the gold you own," etc. There is no such thing. The Qur'an tells us to give whatever is surplus to our actual needs.

The solution to persecution is love, it is peace and rationalism, knowledge and science; the solution is the struggle against radicalism that would be given with the facts of the Qur'an. There might be some who feign ignorance right now, but in the very near future, they will all understand as the incidents that are taking place get even bigger. God's cursing a nation as a whole would not befit God's justice. There is no nation cursed by God. There might be individual people God cursed because of the offenses they have committed. Faith is the sincere belief in one's subconscious. Or else one's mind might come and go. I mean all kinds of opinions might pass through one's mind. For instance, one might think if something is right or wrong; these are ideas inside one's brain. Ideas would be like a storm in one’s mind. They have nothing to do with faith. They are called the whisperings of satan. Faith is something settled in, I mean a sincere conviction that is intertwined with, one's consciousness, one’s good conscience.

For one who spent all his life as a Muslim, it would be the whispering of satan to be concerned saying something like, "Would I be able to preserve my faith at the moment of death?" There is no need to take that serious. No such thing would happen. I mean a wholehearted, subconscious faith is the basis. Or else something might happen to one's mind, such whisperings have no validity. God would look at one in all his integrity.

Some Muslims say, "I am a good person, I would not be troubled with difficulties." Actually, that would be very weird. The greatest mistake is when a person gets sick, he takes some medicine and thinks, "I can get over this disease with this medicine." In fact one should honestly say, "Oh Lord, make this medicine instrumental in my healing." Or one gets injured, something happens and he puts on an antibiotic saying, "Alright, this will do it." But that is not how it should be, you should say, "My Lord, make this instrumental". Otherwise you would be idolizing that medicine. God is the One Who creates that medicine, Who gives that medicine that power to heal. God is the One Who shows that image inside your brain.

With faith, you commit to Almighty God Who is the Owner of everything and you feel wondrously at ease. For Muslims, meteorites are wandering in the sky like lambs. But for an irreligious person they are horrifying monsters. For instance, the magma underneath us is like lukewarm milk for us. But it is like hell for an irreligious person, a sizzling hell that would burn them. Our hearts are at ease because we fear only God. We know how God would command it; we know that the magma is under the command of God. We know that every single atom in the magma is invoking the name of God and that it all submits to God.

What is perfect morality? It is patience, compassion, self-sacrifice, honesty, bravery and loyalty. Without fear of God, one would fall into heedlessness. For instance, one might say that he loves God but not perform prayers, saying, "I love God, God doesn't need my prayers." He might have a lot of money but not give alms, saying, "Those in need can find it elsewhere. I do love God and money makes me happy, it helps me be close to God." Or perhaps, one does not act bravely, saying, "I should not risk my life, I am living nicely here." But in fear of God one shows courage.
