The rules of a society not abiding by the morality of the Qur'an are suffocating. Islam grants the greatest freedom to human beings.

In the time of our Prophet (pbuh), there were no sects. The Sunnah of our Prophet is to follow the Qur'an.

Shia and Sunni have to embrace one another as brothers according to the Qur'an. But enmity arises when they follow the hadiths, not the Qur’an.

Using a sincere language is what is in conformity with the Qur’an and Islam.

Our Prophet (pbuh) said that out of all the hadiths, those that are in line with the Qur’an must be considered as valid.

Stoning someone to death, killing those who shave their beards or change their religion are not decreed in Islam. These should be declared as false hadiths.

Thousands of books about the sufficiency of the Qur'an and the fact that there exists no violence in Islam must be handed out by means of planes which are now used to drop bombs.

The percentage of people fasting in Turkey used to be 15% in 1970s, now it is 82%. Back in those days Darwinism held sway in Turkey. Now modern religiousness based on the morality of the Qur'an is embraced predominantly by our people.

The reason why my statements make such an influence is because I expound from the Quran and science together with explicit evidences.

We criticise parts from the Mawlana's book that contradict the Qur'an. It is possible that Mawlana did not write or add these parts.

Secularism, democracy and freedom are the principles of Islam.

Turkey should be a country in which people from all walks of life can live altogether in peace.

The way to gridlock coups is modernism, high-quailty, arts and all kinds of freedom.

All around the world women need to be free. Anyone who wants to wear revealing clothes must be able to wear them. Everyone needs to be free.

In the absence of variety in people, arts, music and aesthetics, the world will turn out to be like hell. Freedom of women is a fundamental asset.

Women need to be free as they like and they should live in safety.

All our people would support the efforts to broaden the freedoms defined in the constitution. What is important is to preserve our unitary structure.

The right path is the sincere, enlightened, warm understanding of the Qur'an that beauties life. The Qur'an has no place in the traditionalist understanding of Islam. This is what brings about separation.

According to the Qur'an, people are deemed free to choose if they will perform their prayers or not. Muslims are only responsible for explaining what God commands and nothing more.

They imagine that Islam will cease to exist when there is secularism. Secularism means irreligious and religious people living together in comfort. Islam guarantees the coexistence of both irreligious and religious people.

What befalls on Muslims is to preach Islam. According to Islam, exerting pressure and compulsion is unlawful.

According to the Qur'an, everyone can practice his own religion as he pleases. The verse says “You have your religion and I have mine”. Consequently, a Muslim should never exert pressure on anyone.

Attempting to change the government through a coup and preparing lists for conducting massacres would not be acceptable anywhere. There is no compulsion in Islam.

"There is no compulsion where religion is concerned." This is a command of God. This is also a summary of secularism.

We have been asking our government to accept our Syrian brothers to the Turkish citizenship. It’s very fine that President Erdogan is taking the initiative for this process.
