Humans have nothing to be arrogant about. You are a being, made up of flesh and bones and blood, you have natural needs, why is it that you put on airs? You are going to die eventually, why are you putting on an act? And life ends in a very short while. Every dead body bloats and explodes inside the grave. There is no such understanding in Islam. It only has a place in idolatry, in the totemist mentality, in the belief system of the idolaters. This is a characteristic of pagan religions, but there is no such thing in Islam.

The mentality of mourning is fundamentally wrong. A Muslim would never do that. God is the One Who brings us to this world, and God is the One Who takes us back to His Sight. The right thing to do is to submit to our destiny and to put our trust in the goodness, beauty and abundance of what God gives. Anything other than that would not befit a Muslim.
