Scientists Reveal Ants’ Highly Effective Disinfection Method.
A study shows that Wood Ants (Formica paralugubris) collect specialized resin in their nests, which, unlike ordinary resins, contains chemicals that suppress disease-causing microorganisms.
The ability of these tiny insects to exhibit such a sophisticated behavior, which requires an understanding akin to medical knowledge, clearly suggests they are guided by a Higher Mind.

A REMARKABLE ANTISEPTIC
Ants gather hardened sap particles from coniferous trees surrounding their nests. The amount of resin collected can reach up to 20 kilograms, depending on the nest’s size. Considering that the average weight of a wood ant is approximately 6 milligrams, with 200 ants equaling just 1 gram, the scale of collecting 20 kilograms of resin highlights the extraordinary effort involved. Researchers at the University of Lausanne, led by Michel Chapuisat, tested the antiseptic properties of this resin. They compared disease development in two nests: one with added resin and one without.
The results were striking:
• Nests without resin showed three times more fungal growth.
• A significant increase in disease-causing bacteria was also observed.
ANTS’ MICROBIAL DEFENSE: RESIN

The chemical knowledge displayed by ants is remarkable, especially considering they are organisms with small bodies and relatively simple structures. Understanding the relationship between diseases, microbes, and antiseptics requires advanced knowledge of chemical compositions and their environmental interactions. Notably, ants lack awareness of the microscopic causes of diseases, which even modern scientists can only observe using specialized microscopes. The selection of resin as a disease-fighting tool is equally astonishing. Reaching such a conclusion would require comparing resin-treated and untreated nests, a process reminiscent of scientific experiments in pharmacology.
COORDINATION AND PRECISION
Despite the abundance of plants in their environment, ants specifically target coniferous trees, indicating a deliberate choice. They behave as if they understand which remedy addresses specific ailments, much like a doctor prescribing targeted treatment. Moreover, their flawless cooperation during resin collection demonstrates a collective effort to safeguard the nest’s health. These intelligent and selfless behaviors point to the presence of a Supreme Creator.

DIVINELY INSPIRED WISDOM
Almighty God inspires ants to collect resin to protect their nests from disease. Every ant carrying resin operates under divine guidance:
“Indeed, I have relied upon Allah, my Lord and your Lord. There is no creature but that He holds it by its forelock [in His control]. Indeed, my Lord is on a straight path.” (Surah Hud, 56)
